Tablets, iPhones, laptops, iPods, Macs, ... APPLE against the others ???

Is it the APPLE decade ??? ... I really think so.

It seems as APPLE were the inventor and the others, just imitators ... Is it really so ???

NOKIA announced yesterday a joint agreement with MICROSOFT to revamp its mobile lost reign. APPLE tsunami during the last 10 years has been lethal for NOKIA, a finnish company accounting for a huge % of Finland´s GDP.

6.000 jobs will be lost within NOKIA structure due to this agreement. 6.000 jobs that APPLE demolished thanks to a creative and innovative strategy who is positioning the Steve Jobs company as the most valuable entity within the american stock market.

Is it possible that a company designing gadgets can be the most valuable company in the US, above banks, petrol giants, or utilities conglomerates ??? ... The answer is YES. If you sell many gadgets at the price APPLE does it, the calculation is simple.

This has positioned Mr Jobs as a real guru, the one that got APPLE out of bankruptcy and fixed it into the universe of the best management stories ever.

I am an investor. At the end, a simple observer trying to analyze business stories.

I must recognize that I did not believe in APPLE when I first analysed it. An almost broken company without a clear leadership and a rare manufacturer of items that were positioned against main streams at that time.

Obviously, I was completely wrong.

But, I continue asking myself why if I have bought a Mac, I need now an i Pad ??? ... Or if I have an Internet connected iPhone, why do I need an iPad too ??? ... Isn´t it canibalisation ??? ....

Once again, I may be wrong. Because the APPLE followers seem to have a Mac at home, an iPhone inside the left pocket of the trousers and an iPad on their hands.

Doubts about Mr Jobs health, about the leadership without Jobs, about the continuity of designing and managing gadgets without collapsing APPLE adopters soon. A huge climb in market value, ... Is it still interesting to invest in APPLE ???

Once again, I really do not know.

I remember once, when I put one of my articles inside a Tech specialized blog, questioning APPLE strategy. I began receiving answers telling me how out of this tech world I was, how uninformed I supposely was ... I just realised APPLE followers were really loyal and numerous.

If you are reading this post through a MAC, i PAD or iPHONE, please forgive my lack of knowledge about APPLE, and my continuous doubts about its future. For me, APPLE will always be a nice management story to tell.

But, the question will always continue inside me for a long time .... Is it Steve Jobs a Marketing legend or a visionary tech genius ???
